In Memoriam...
Tom Quirk, founder of Quirk’s Marketing Research Review, passed away on May 27 at age 87. After a 23-year career at Miller Publishing, where he became the youngest VP in company history, he started Roseville, Minn.-based Rockwood Research. Upon its sale, he founded Quirk’s Marketing Research Review in 1986, combining his love of publishing and marketing research. He retired in 2002, passing the firm on to his children. Tom taught the people around him to humbly care for those in need and to enjoy the little things in life. His generosity was particularly focused on Haiti, where his donations built schools, clinics and housing. Tom had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a good story to tell. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Catholic Charities of St. Paul & Minneapolis, The Joseph School in Haiti or a charity of your choice. Read a full remembrance here.
