Technologically-Advanced Research Facility

Fully renovated in 2014, the CEC Research testing facility is located in a premium business park with ample private parking and easy access from NJ’s Garden State Parkway.  Our facilities are modern, state-of-the-art and technologically advanced to accommodate any testing our clients require, including taste testing, mock jury trials, health and beauty aids or cosmetic and hair product trials. 

Our large kitchen will accommodate any food or beverage test. This custom designed space is equipped with commercial-grade appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, a dishwasher, a water purification system and ice maker, two six-burner Vulcan range-ovens with 12ft. hoods, heavy duty deep fryer, eight 1200W microwaves, a grill, a three-compartment sink, 50 outlets and stainless steel countertops set on casters to allow for custom configuration.

Our recently added fully equipped professional hair salon with six styling stations is staffed with professionally licensed cosmetologists, and is designed to fit a wide range of hair care testing requirements. Highly trained to perform consumer testing on women and men with all hair types, carrying out testing that includes product comparison, tolerance, irritation and more. Hair evaluations include objective half-head comparisons, as well as profiling categories such as washing, conditioning, color, chemical reshaping, styling and control of today’s latest hair care products. Specializing in the most difficult-to-recruit hair profiles, such as curl types 2C-4B, curl types IV-VII and visible hair color for dark bases

Our focus group facilities are fully-equipped with audio and video capabilities including a concealed microphone and large one-way observation mirror.  Our client lounge and observation room provides comfortable accommodations as you oversee your research projects.

To accommodate a wide range of studies, our testing room can seat 30 participants with individual testing areas or 50 participants in an auditorium-style setup, with plenty of natural lighting.  Each testing station is equipped with a laptop with wireless internet connectivity and optional privacy dividers.  The testing space features a flexible configuration that is adaptable to any study requirements.
