Account Manager - Market Research

Salary: $70,000–$90,000

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing current assigned account relationships. This role is responsible for understanding and communicating the SSI value proposition and offerings including the entire company product line which includes all services via Online, Mobile and B2B data collection methods. The Account Manager is responsible for developing the strategy and for the day-to-day management toward the growth of new and existing business for those assigned accounts.



Operate as lead point of contact for any and all matters related to your assigned accounts. Support the client and operations staff during the kickoff, delivery and wrap up phases to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
Maintain and expand existing client revenue through effective up-selling and cross-selling by understanding client objectives, providing research design consultation and ensuring client satisfaction.
Design and propose effective research projects to win client business. Utilize Sales Directors, Sales Consulting, Advanced Analytics, Products and Knowledge teams to prepare the best proposals. Assist with pricing & feasibility as needed.

Communicate (written and via presentation) proposed research design, specifications, pricing & timing in a manner that wins the business. Successfully move proposals through the pipeline funnel to ultimately close the business.

Leverage current client relationships to set up meetings/presentations with new content and/or new buyers.
Develop account plans that map out the account opportunity and a strategy toward growth: including client meetings, content exposure, marketing efforts and meeting new contacts.
Actively manage assigned client relationships and achieve (or exceed) annual revenue targets through attainment of specific relationship growth objectives and KPIs. (85%)
Plan and track sales activities using the company’s CRM tool. Provide annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly forecasts across accounts.
Actively develop relationships internally in order to gain full collaboration in providing the best service and delivery to the Corporate Account Clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of Sales account management experience with demonstrated success in growing and managing accounts. Experience with large account sales and managing complex sales in large organizations.
3+ years as a custom Market Research practitioner.
Direct to customer sales experience to senior level executives.
Proven success in managing and exceeding account growth targets.
Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
