Business Development Director

Responsible for leading the sales strategy to develop long-term relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:

·        Develop and execute client sales strategies

·        Seek and drive new business opportunities

·        Secure and participate in client meetings

·        Generate market awareness of the firm’s capabilities through participation in industry events

·        Curate leads and present capabilities to generate opportunities

·        Work with Insights teams to close opportunities

·        Work with other functions within the firm to generate marketing and sales enablement materials

·        Forms partnership with data and research organization to ensure products are meeting needs of customer

·        Regularly engages clients/prospects to understand market demands and provides client feedback on product messaging to stakeholders

·        Maintain the sales pipeline in the company’s CRM system

Necessary  Experience:

·        5-10 years of experience selling insights services (custom and syndicated) into the healthcare and pharma spaces

·        Thorough understanding of syndicated market research programs

·        Experience delivering revenue from insights services of $5MM or more

·        Strong business acumen and track record in business/client development

·        Demonstrated ability to lead account management

·        Experience developing an effective sales strategy at the client level

·        Proven record of building productive business relationships

·        Consistent track record of delivering against objectives/sales targets

·        Exceptional organization and presentation skills necessary

·        Hardworking, self-starter -- comfortable working independently and without routine management supervision

·        Success in opening the doors to new business

·        Comfortable with change and innovation
