Health care Market Research Recruitment and Fieldwork

Since 2006, Vital Connections has recruited physicians, nurses, pharmacists and dentists for qualitative and quantitative health care market research studies. We recruit health care professionals across Canada and the United States for in-depth interviews, focus groups, advisory boards, bulletin boards and surveys. We support in-facility, remote and hybrid sessions.

Our work is focused exclusively on connecting market researchers, pharmaceutical companies, health care consultancies and other research buyers with qualified health care professionals. We provide sample exclusively for market research, never for marketing or sales purposes.

How We Recruit

We recruit from our own participant records, licensed health care professional data and direct outreach, supported by our own screening and project management.

We recruit physicians across a broad range of specialties, including oncology, cardiology, neurology, dermatology, surgery, ophthalmology, psychiatry, respirology and endocrinology. We also recruit nurses, diabetic nurse educators, pharmacists, dentists and dental hygienists.

Personally Managed Projects

Every project is personally managed by the owner, from feasibility through completion. Direct oversight keeps communication clear, allows decisions to be made quickly and ensures that the person accountable for the recruit is the person who scoped it.

Clients value our willingness to adapt to the requirements of each study. That includes building concise interview schedules that maximize moderator efficiency, continuing recruitment for particularly difficult-to-recruit respondent types and high priority participants and supplying fresh participants whenever feasible.

Feasibility Before Commitment

We provide candid feasibility guidance before accepting a project. When a target is not realistically achievable, we say so while there is still time to adjust the screener, sample size, honorarium or timeline. We would rather identify a problem early than commit to a specification that cannot be delivered.

We can usually provide a preliminary assessment once we know the specialty, number of completes, methodology, interview length, honorarium, fielding dates and key inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Quebec

Quebec is recruited alongside the rest of the study, at the same pace, and reported in every update. Participants may be recruited in English, French or both, as the study requires. Where French screeners or study materials are needed and the client does not already have them, we arrange the translation.

Transparency Throughout Recruitment

We keep clients informed throughout recruitment, including when there has been no progress to report. Our aim is to provide realistic updates, identify obstacles early and continue working toward the strongest achievable result without creating surprises.
