HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

• Identifies, jointly with marketing, communications or other clients specific problems or areas that may require research support, and helps drive Learning Agendas.
• Advises and makes recommendations on market research issues such as research design and methodologies, appropriate sample sizes, best techniques, etc. When appropriate, proactively suggests studies that deliver on information gaps.
• Conducts comprehensive research projects and is able to compile layers of analysis under limited supervision.
• Applies creativity to research projects and looks to external / syndicated research sources to supplement knowledge.
• Project management is at the heart of this position, which may include weekly status calls, field reports, etc. Will be responsible for communicating with the end client any slippage on project costs or timing and presenting applicable solutions.
• Acts as a liaison between the internal client and the outside market research vendor, communicating project objectives, questionnaire changes, etc.. Finds solutions to problems before they occur.
• Maintains the relationship with external suppliers ensuring that the all facets of contractual agreements are maintained, including, but not limited to: RFPs, Statements of Work, Master Service agreements, etc..
• Pull data from a variety of sources to create a “story” on a certain topic. Information may be used for internal or external meetings, executive speeches, planning or other purposes.
• Responsible for project accounting, including securing account numbers from clients and opening PO numbers, tracking and vendor checking invoices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with primary market research (either supplier or client side) experience in all phases of market research from project inception to final data analysis with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results is required.
• Must possess training or experience in questionnaire design (i.e., experience with different scales, knowledgeable about avoiding bias, etc.)
• Sound statistical knowledge with experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Substantial skills in written and oral communication.
