Join Casey’s as a Brand Insights Manager focused on bringing our pizza and prepared food menu to life! As a Brand Insights Manager focused on food and menu you’ll work closely with our Culinary and Category Teams to develop and test new LTO and Core menu items, optimize our core menu line-up, all while being laser focused on providing the insights needed to grow Casey’s traffic and sales year-over-year.
The Brand Insights Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of core and menu pipeline development through qualitative and quantitative primary market research and accessing secondary syndicated sources to provide insights and recommendations to drive sales, traffic and build Casey’s brand. The Brand Insights Manager will collaborate with other business partners across the organization to design studies and methodologies to address key business questions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with our Culinary Team and Category Managers to develop profitable food programs to grow traffic and sales across our menu and marketing cycles.
- Design, develop and execute all research related to menu and food item development and optimization including multiple custom projects such as idea testing, concept tests, taste tests, focus groups, menu satisfaction, immersions, as needed.
- Use primary and secondary resources to find the cultural and consumer ‘why’ driving behaviors and needs for prepared food out of the home. Identify gaps in our menu and marketing approach.
- Seek, find and analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business using data from a wide range of sources, including primary and secondary.
- Responsible for providing training and other instruction as appropriate to other Guest Insights team members and our cross-functional team members.
- Investigate and recommend best-in-class research methodology and process protocols.

- Bachelor’s Degree relevant in measuring and understanding consumer behavior (e.g., Market Research, Consumer Behavior, Psychology, Sociology, etc.) or equivalent experience is required.
- At least eight years of research experience is required. Experience in restaurant (pipeline and marketing insights), food and/or retail research preferred.
- Prior experience pulling together disparate data sources to uncover strategic insights and to tell the story of these insights in order to drive action across the organization is required.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability and desire to collaborate and build relationships based on transparency and mutual respect with team members at all levels of the company.
- Strong internal motivation, intellectual curiosity, logical thinking, and desire to have a large impact on our organization.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and multi-task in a complex, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
- Extreme detail-orientation across all aspects of research planning, execution, analysis, and presentation.
- Resourceful nature, with strong problem-solving and customer-service orientation.
- Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience with secondary trend and restaurant category research tools such as Datassential, Technomic, NPD/Circana, etc.
