A CATI Telephone Research Interviewer’s responsibility is to conduct research interviews, surveys, recruit and screen potential respondents to participate in qualitative research studies via phone, email and in-person. Provide assistance with organization and research to develop and conduct outreach efforts to various community-based organizations. Provide assistance with conducting, administration, hosting and proctoring of in-person qualitative research such as cognitive interviews, usability testing, and focus groups. Input and record data, notes, logs from the conducted recruitment and research interviews, surveys, any other research activities. This is a perfect entry position to learn and gain experience with various opinion and social science research methods.

This position will work 21-28 hours per week.

Tuesday through Thursday, 4pm-11pm, and Saturdays 9am-4pm and/or Sundays 10am-5pm.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate calls to research participants to conduct surveys and / or determine eligibility to participate in them
• Communicate professionally and a friendly manner with research participants to gain their interest in participating in our studies
• Recruit quality respondents within the criteria of assigned study.
• Learn and apply the training for reach study, following procedures and scripting in all projects.
• Maintain accurate entry on ALL data entries, screeners, spreadsheets, call record sheets and time cards.
• Contact research participants to screen, schedule and confirm their participation in interviews or focus group sessions.
• Keep Recruiting Supervisor and Project Manager updated on any problems you encounter while recruiting a study, i.e. why people are not fitting the study criteria.
• Conduct phone research interviews, surveys, recruit and screen potential respondents to participate in qualitative research studies and to determine the how each respondent’s answers align with the study specifications and/or quotas.
• Provide assistance with organization and research to develop and conduct outreach efforts to various community-based organizations.
• Provide assistance with conducting, administration, hosting and proctoring of in-person qualitative research such as cognitive interviews, usability testing, and focus groups.
• Input and record data, notes, logs from the conducted recruitment and research interviews, surveys, any other research activities.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.

• Must be well-spoken and comfortable speaking on the phone and via zoom/teams videoconferencing platforms.
• Professional oral and written communication skills
• Must have a positive attitude
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft office productivity tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Must be flexible and able to multi-task
• Must be a team player that pays attention to detail
• Willing to work when needed, midday, evenings or Saturdays, within reason
