Product Evaluations, Inc. is a full-service market research firm located in Oak Brook, IL, specializing in foodservice. Our clients are among the country’s biggest food producers and restaurants, and our custom research designs (quantitative and qualitative) are on the leading edge of today’s market research.
We welcome a new contract qualitative moderator to facilitate qualitative research sessions, ensuring smooth execution of interviews, focus groups, and other data collection activities. Your expertise will help gather rich insights into customer behaviors, perceptions, and experiences, contributing to impactful research results, focused in the foodservice industry.
We are seeking candidates with:
- 7+ years proven experience in qualitative research methods such as interviews and focus groups, both online and in-person
- Strong focus or depth of experience with foodservice or food/beverage
- Experience running B2B sessions (note: if B2C experience only, your resume will not be considered)
- Ability to write full, actionable reports
- Strong communication skills and comfort consulting with and presenting to any level of audience
It’s a plus if you have:
- Facilitation skills beyond typical focus groups/IDI’s, e.g. running discovery workshops and ideations
- Experience using qualitative programs (e.g. NVivo, ATLAS, Delve) and/or AI (ChatGPT, Copilot)
Projects typically run 4-6 weeks, with the majority of your time spent in guide development, sessions and reporting (no recruiting needed).

Please note:
This is a 1099 role.
Must live in the Chicago area for on-site studies. (Resumes from outside the Chicago area will not be considered).
