We are seeking an independent contractor with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our Business Intelligence division on a project-based, 1099 basis. This part-time contractor opportunity is ideal for a sales professional who thrives on flexibility while delivering exceptional results.
As an independent marketing research sales contractor, you'll work collaboratively with Endeavor leadership, intelligence experts, and media counterparts to hunt for revenue and close business by leveraging tenacity, creativity, and knowledge of market research insights. With a deep understanding of B2B industries, and both qualitative and quantitative research methods, you'll focus on prospecting for new business by leveraging Endeavor's dynamic resources, demonstrating the value of quantitative and qualitative intelligence to solve business problems.
- Developing strategic territory and account targets using a variety of sources
- Prospecting with an emphasis on closing virtual conversations and face-to-face meetings
- Maintaining a strong demonstrable pipeline of 2.5-3x your sales goal
- Utilizing CRM to continually track activities, leads, opportunities, and sales
- Leveraging your network and developing new/key industry contacts and business relationships
- Embracing a consultative, solutions-based approach to address customer needs and strategic priorities
- Utilizing internal leadership and vertical market business partners to add value to sales pitches and client relationships
- Accurately forecasting sales and sales activity while bringing market-based insights to team leadership
- Working seamlessly with client support teammates and cross-functional partners to provide clients with global knowledge of our resources
- Meeting and exceeding revenue targets on a project-based timeline
Contractor Qualifications:
- Proven track record as an independent marketing research sales professional or contractor with experience exceeding sales goals
- Content, insights, and/or marketing sales/cross-selling experience preferred
- Strong network of industry contacts
- Passion for a very wide range of B2B markets required
- Understanding of how consumer behavior enriches B2B go-to-market insights
- B.S. or B.A. in business or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Motivated by winning, being an inspiration to teammates, and providing market feedback
- Proven ability to sell, upsell, renew, and close complex deals
- Experience in cross/team selling with media sales directors
- Strong and equitable negotiation skills
- Consultative approach to selling and guiding clients into long-term intelligence relationships
- Focus on recurring revenue and subscription-based selling
- Knowledge of and passion for business mining, technology-based prospecting, and prospecting call skills
- Ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of client needs and how Endeavor Intelligence can benefit clients
- Willingness to travel to customer sites, conferences, and training as needed
- Comfortable being uncomfortable and a cultural contributor
- Must be available for part-time, flexible hours to accommodate client meetings and business development activities
Engagement Details:
Contract Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours with performance-based expectations
Duration: Fixed-term contract with potential for renewal based on performance
Compensation Structure: Project sales commission only. Sales commissions will range from 7.5% to 12.5% depending on project methodology and program scope.
Work Arrangement: Remote with travel as needed for client meetings and company events
