This job will encompass all development and management of analytics, modeling, etc. in Pimsleur's new customer acquisition. It would be central to the development and maintenance of our new prospects, and existing customer databases which will be managed using Responsys 6.
This person will constantly review each campaign's profitability to determine a maximum order cost which we could profitably pay for a new customer. They will work closely with the S&S digitals ormiture rep and with Google Analytics to ve sure that any visible Pimsleur customer behavior was being tracked, and recognized as soon as possible.
Ulitmately this person would become our overall numbers guru, setting the parameters for all search and other cost per click and acquisition advertising. Person would develop regular reporting for the team and management.
This role reports to Pimsleur's VP & Director but would had Pimsleur's On-Line marketing Manager as a primary client as well as the VP Finance for S&S Audio, and the Publisher of S&S Audio. Would also have day to day contact with the S&S Digital, Finance, Marketing, and other staff as well as Pimsleur's outside developer.
We are seeking a person with 3 - 5 years of expertise in qualitative analysis of Direct Response Consumer Marketing. Someone who has been exposed to a variety of cutting edge direct marketing techniques.
This person will also have an expertise in predictive modeling, regression analysis, statistical model development, which would be used in planning overall media spending and investment decisions.
Preferred Skills/Experience BS in math, statsistics or programming preferred
Intermediate to expert level user of MS Excel; strong experience with MS Access, SQL, other database programs.
Experience with Responsys 6, omniture, and Google Ad Words/Analytics a plus.
Ability to speak both the language of multivariate analysis and vernacular English - able to convert the passion behind a great statistical model to words, etc. that will inspire laypeople.
