Fieldwork Manager

An operational position that focuses on the successful delivery of project logistics, and internal team resourcing. You’re well-versed in the market research world, having supported and managed both qualitative and quantitative experience. You have extensive experience building relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. You connect the dots across multiple areas to ensure the smooth delivery of projects, happy clients, and a supported internal team. You’re proactive, an excellent communicator, and a whizz with the detail as well as being good at keeping an eye on the bigger picture. You’re just as comfortable working with SVPs as you are with junior researchers and team members from various other Echo departments.
Administration
- Work with senior-level department members to assess and manage project pipeline and staff resourcing
- Keep a birds-eye view of the live projects, timelines, end deliverables, and overall team bandwidth
Project Management:
- Responsible for overall smooth coordination of project planning and execution: timeline and scheduling, resourcing, vendors, and clients
- Support project team with core project documentation and administration
- Support project team with managing vendors
- Responsible for supporting successful interdepartmental management within Echo (recruitment, communities, programming, ads, etc.)
- Monitor project progress, and assist with client communication
Account Management
- Schedule and manage client meetings
- Keep client team informed of study progress and all project details and manage expectations

- Fearlessness: you're comfortable gracefully “bugging” vendors and clients regarding any unresolved issues or unanswered questions
- “Managing up:” as this position interfaces with senior/executive-level clients and co-workers, you must be able to perceive their needs and communication styles and adapt to them. This requires confidence and initiative in dealing with more senior partners
