Head of Research Sales

Copper  | Seattle, WA, US

Fully Remote, (Location: Fully Remote or Hybrid (HQ Seattle, WA))

Salary: $190,000–$210,000

Role & Opportunity

Through our fastest growing product: Earn; teens and families can earn money by taking surveys, playing games, and completing offers at the brands they love most. They can then invest their hard earned money to learn about finance and build wealth.

You will be responsible for the full selling of market research & partnership sales cycle: from prospecting through warm and cold outreach to prospective brands and companies that want to connect with our highly coveted gen z user base, all the way to negotiating a partnership deal. You will focus on selling our unique survey panel to brands and market research firms.

First 90 Days

  • Reach out to your existing market research and direct brand relationships to qualify opportunities for upcoming qualification calls.
  • Inherit Copper’s existing market research/ survey relationships and work within those relationships to equip their sales team to sell our panel.
  • Begin to educate the market of our unique panel and dataset. Create a budget and list of panel/ data conferences to attend and book buyers directly at the conference.
  • Create initial delivery and execution KPI’s for our survey business.
  • Build on existing sales process to create our sales motion.
  • Manage an SDR that reports directly to you that focuses on helping you book qualified appointments with new business.

You should have:

  • 2-5+ years of relevant experience in selling market research directly to brands or within market research firms. partner management or affiliate marketing within financial services, digital media, e-commerce, or related.
  • Proven track record of closing market research/ direct research/ survey business.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record of building partner relationships, closing deals, and managing objections.
  • Experience doing outbound outreach and creating your own pipeline.
  • Experience working with brands, market research firms to create value and sell a data asset.
  • Strong ability to work cross functionally across the company.
  • A startup mentality: you understand that we have a lot to figure out and plans will change. You will roll with the punches and work with the team to help us overcome the challenges we will face.
  • Passion to be on the ground floor, within a rapidly growing company, and build the team from the ground up.
