Dimension & Scope:

This position is responsible to assist in the resolution of marketing strategy issues by developing information on the marketplace. This position will manage primary market research studies analyze and interpret results. This position typically handles the structured routine projects of the department.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop information about the market place by designing and conducting primary market research studies to ensure quality product development, advertising and customer service decisions
• Analyze market research databases using statistical techniques in order to recommend strategic or marketing action
• Assist other departments in planning and budgeting for their market research information needs by defining problem solutions and estimating costs, thus ensuring that information requirements are achieved
• Assist in developing effective product plans by interpreting, summarizing and presenting relevant market data in order to ensure market driven product planning
• To maintain quality design and conduct of market research studies, continually improve knowledge of market research and market research techniques, and data analysis.

Education & Professional Certifications:

Masters Degree in related field with three to five years related experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidate Profile:
• Experience in quantitative analysis within industry
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Ability to think conceptually
• Familiarity with secondary database/sources, especially economic, demographic and industry
• Knowledge of market research design and analysis
• Strong matrix management skills
