Market Research Analyst

National Kitchen & Bath Association  | US

Hybrid, (Allentown/Bethlehem)

Salary: $70,000–$90,000


Summary of Position:

The Market Research Analyst supports  NKBA’s online research community and related studies – surveys, focus groups, discussions, and polls to uncover meaningful member and industry insights. Applying critical thinking and analytical skills, this role fosters engagement, monitors participation trends, ensures data quality, and develops retention strategies, ultimately strengthening the voice of the community and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Research Design & Data Collection

  • Design and implement quantitative and qualitative research studies (surveys, focus groups, discussion groups, interviews; moderation skills a plus).

  • Support NKBA’s online research community and related activities —including surveys, focus groups, and engagement initiatives—to generate actionable member and industry insights.

  • Drive community engagement through discussions, polls, surveys, and other prompts; monitor participation trends, conduct periodic fraud checks, and implement retention strategies.

  • Analyze community-generated data and share insights through infographics, summaries, and reports.

Data Management & Quality Control

  • Clean, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

  • Prepare and manage datasets and data exports.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Apply statistical methods (forecasting, segmentation) to uncover trends, patterns, and relationships.

  • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative findings into actionable insights, recommendations, and visual reports (charts, infographics, PowerPoint or Google Slides presentations)

  • Present research findings at industry events and summits to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and external research partners to align projects with organizational goals and ensure research objectives are met.

  • Attend and participate in annual KBIS events and other events as needed.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Education & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business, Economics, Data Analytics or related field.

  • 3–5 years’ experience in research (supplier side preferred), data analysis, or related fields.

  • Hands-on experience designing surveys, discussion guides, and other data collection tools; moderation of focus groups/interviews a plus.

  • Experience managing and engaging online research communities is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; adept at synthesizing complex information, identifying trends, and generating actionable insights.

  • Proficient in analytical tools, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM systems and online community platforms a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Skilled at creating reports and visually compelling presentations (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva) within brand guidelines.

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Works effectively both independently and collaboratively in team settings.
