The Opportunity

NRG is seeking a Senior Data Processing Programmer to join our quickly growing Data Processing team. In this role, you will be expected to have a thorough understanding of market research data and expectations of client deliverables. You’ll work with a broad range of clients, both internal and external, to create deliverables using various market research software packages.

The Role

-Responsible for running cross tabs, applying weights, cleaning data, and customizing data tables for a variety of data deliverables
-Contribute to improving overall department efficiency by maintaining and creating new best practices
-Learn, explore, and implement new techniques, platforms, and software packages
-Apply critical thinking to quickly identify and resolve complex data issues

-Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
-Comfortable conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines utilizing analytical and problem-solving capabilities
-Passionate problem solver who is willing to challenge conventional processes
-Able and willing to quickly learn, explore, and implement new techniques, platforms, and software packages plus take on greater responsibilities as necessary
-Comfortable working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
-Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and integrity of information
-Organized, self-motivated, and self-directed

Qualifications

-5+ years of experience in Data Processing/Tabbing role in Market Research industry
-Proficient with data tabulation software such as Uncle, Q, Dimensions, -WinCross, Quantum, CFMC, Merlin
-Strong project management skills
-Strategic and analytical mindset
-Some level of proficiency in Excel
-Working knowledge of SPSS
-Experience with programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, R, Python) a plus

Position Type

This is a full-time, exempt position.

Work Environment

NRG provides flexible work options – employees will be given the choice to work remotely, work out of a designated office (Playa Vista or New York) or a hybrid of the two. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
