SIS International Research (www.sisinternational.com) is a Global Market Research and Strategy Consultancy firm headquartered in New York City.

We are seeking a motivated, innovative proposal writer with excellent business writing skills and experience to prepare proposals, bids and sales material for Survey Market Research, Qualitative Market Research, Quantitative Market Research, Management Consulting and Market Assessment projects.

The proposal writer will be involved in the entire sales process which includes researching industries, preparing content for sales call, and writing proposals based on RFP's from clients. The proposal writer will be a proactive person with an affinity for researching our clients' marketing challenges and will write in-depth proposals on our market research methodologies and writing content on how we can solve our clients' marketing challenges. Our clients send us their marketing challenges and objectives in the form of Requests for Proposals (RFP's) and tenders. The proposal writer will write about comprehensive approaches to solving challenges, market research methodologies, recommendations for marketing tools, desk research on industry outlooks, recommended solutions to solve our clients' marketing challenges and other technical marketing and branding topics.

Prior to first sales meeting, the proposal writer should be prepared with definitive knowledge about the client including :

• Strategize pre-call topics
• Research and collect information about prospective clients
• Research clients' competitors
• Create a focus and objective for the call
• Write a list of questions

The proposal writer will know how to effectively write robust content for extensive proposals in RFP tender processes for a variety of clients. The proposal writer will write marketing, branding and strategy consulting approaches to solving client needs in large proposal pitch decks. The proposal writer will use graphics in proposals including adding images, photos, and icons to demonstrate added value.

Responsibilities

• Writing business sales content, including quotations, proposals, marketing collateral, pitch deck writing, marketing research methodologies, explaining approaches and methods, business technical writing, pitch deck writing, case studies, and presentations
• Responding to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs and developing content that meets client needs, and identify opportunities and project needs.
• Writing clear, organized and visually compelling proposals describing methodologies, solutions and cost quotations to meet client needs and project requirements
• Communicating with clients and internal team to propose solutions
• Delivering and presenting proposals on-time to clients
• Creating and maintaining sales and marketing materials and templates including text, charts and graphics
• Improving sales and marketing content by evaluating solutions, methodologies, processes, approach and effectiveness.
• Following up with recent RFPs and RFQs by phone and electronically
• Creating engaging visuals using stockphotos and graphics

Ability to commute:

• New York, NY 10010: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Requirements

• On-site position, located in the Flatiron area of New York City. Remote working will not be considered for this position.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Undergraduate degree required. Degrees in Business, Marketing, English, Journalism, Economics or Communications preferred.
• Experience in proposal writing, pitch deck writing, business technical writing, consulting business development, strategy, reporting, writing/editing in content generation and marketing content preferred.
• Experience in Market Research, Marketing & Advertising, Strategy Consulting and Management Consulting project pitch deck writing and business proposal writing
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Undergraduate degree required. Degrees in Business, Marketing, English, Journalism, Economics or Communications preferred.
• Proficiency in the MSOFFICE, especially Powerpoint, Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-directed, proactive
• Hard-working, flexible, and detail oriented
• Ability to adapt to working across timezones
• Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace, as well as a global business environment characterized by ambiguity, uncertainty and complexity (VUCA)
• Ability to manage multiple proposals, quotations and bids simultaneously
• Ability to communicate with many different communication styles (e.g. direct, indirect, different approaches, cultures, etc.)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team on multiple projects meeting quick turnaround deadlines.
