The Research Community Manager (RCM) is part of the core of our business, and is responsible for running long term research communities, building client relationships, and ensuring the success of each community endeavour. Each RCM is responsible for carrying responsibility from start to finish on assigned projects.
The RCM is responsible for the delivery of the project, the budget and profit plan through the execution of a well-conceived monitoring and data analysis strategy. The RCM is also responsible for overseeing, teaching, and mentoring their team of Project Assistants (PA’s).
The RCM has a thorough understanding of qualitative and quantitative research approaches and is comfortable talking with senior level clients about ways to solve complex marketing questions through online research communities.
Our RCM are solution-focused; able to follow processes with an eye for detail but also think on their feet to come up with bespoke solutions pending on the specific project needs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Establish a transparent, trustworthy relationship with the client by updating them at each step of the project, and delivering quality output, on time and on budget.
2. Clearly identify client needs and objectives throughout the relationship and work in a consultative way with them to help them build and leverage their community.
3. Manage the implementation of add-on services to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard and customized to meet each customer’s unique community needs.
4. Review project setup with the utmost attention to detail to ensure flawless execution.
5. Conduct pre-launch reviews of online communities and liaise with customers to make recommendations to improve their experience, community engagement and results.
6. Document customer experiences and formal feedback.
7. Contribute to a growing collection of community platform knowledge and training resources.
8. Analyze project estimates and screeners, verify that they are aligned with the client goals, and monitor for any scope creep
9. Develop recruitment strategy based on individual project needs and audience
10. Manage and train Project Assistants, and plan work flow for them throughout the project by gathering, sorting, organizing, and recording data, information, and documents.
11. Monitor and control online screener performance - adjusting recruitment strategy as needed
12. Perform continuous pattern analysis by overseeing the pulling and sorting data twice a day, work with Project Assistant to perform a continuous assessment of the data to identify and test different ways of capturing the matching profiles
13. Communication daily (morning and evening) with the client, identifying proper respondents for each project and troubleshooting any recruiting issues
14. Monitors budget / hours daily (defines shifts and responsibilities to increase efficiency) to deliver on time, on budget
15. Keep information accessible by sorting, filing documents, and updating relevant documents
16. Work with the accounts team for any re-costing and invoicing
17. Take on other special projects that spark your interest and advance the company.
18. Set, plan and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
19. Organizing various community building initiatives to cultivate and grow participation in community forums
20. Creating content such as blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for social media channels
21. Monitoring and optimizing community engagement levels
22. Ensure brand consistency by communicating with the Full Service and the Ads teams.
1. Must be willing to work some USA hours
2. Proficient in Excel, Word, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Slack
3. 3+ years in Project Management
4. Experience and/or interest in Qualtrics, Recollective, QuMind, FuelCycle, Qualzy and other research community platforms as well as websites.
5. Strong understanding of market research and various survey/database platforms
6. Excellent attention to detail
