Research Project Manager (RPM)

PERSUADABLE RESEARCH CORPORATION  | Flint, MI, US

Open Job Location, (Continental U.S.)

Salary: Other / Not Specified
Project-based hourly rate

In our company, Research Project Managers (RPMs) work as a team to execute research plans for clients. RPMs work with our Solutions Experts and our clients to understand insights needs, write research questionnaires/discussion guides, program surveys/AI studies, manage field work, prepare data (tab, chart, code verbatim) for our analysts, and provide on-going communication to clients about our progress.
This is not a full-time position, but it is also not part-time. This is project-based, making it less predictable. Because of this, Research Project Managers must be flexible in their availability, especially during the business day (generally 9a to 6p EST). The length and complexity of proposals and projects can be random: some take a few hours while others take weeks.
The nature of market research is cyclical, dependent on marketing budgets and advertising calendars. Our busy or slow seasons are closely tied to these factors, as well. Some weeks RPMs may work less than 20 hours, while other weeks they may work 40 hours or more. If you have worked in research for a while, this is not a surprise.
While we cannot guarantee a base minimum income, we work hard during busy times when they come, and we try to take advantage of slow times to prepare for the next rush. You will be an employee of Persuadable Research and cannot freelance, consult, or work another research position. We will train you on our processes and the software platforms we utilize, and you will be paid while you train.
At its core, this position involves these responsibilities:
• Writing surveys, screeners, and discussion guides
• Programming surveys into our software
• Managing in-bound sample and sample partner logistics
• Formatting data tables in Excel
• Creating charts, graphs, and reports in PowerPoint
• Managing client communication
• Supporting our analysts and sales team, as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 2 years of primary research experience with an agency, research firm, or consultancy
• General understanding of survey research design, survey programming, fielding, and analysis.
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Computer-literate in a Windows environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written communication skills, utilizing good grammar, spelling and punctuation.
• Strong, professional oral communication skills, demonstrating the same command of grammar and proper speech.
• Located in the continental U.S.
Skills that are a plus:
• Moderating experience
• Multilingual
• Prior experience with survey programming

We will provide:
• a laptop
• an external monitor
• a 4-in-1 printer
• a VOIP company phone (via laptop)
• office supplies
You must provide:
• A quiet, professional space in your home that is set aside for work.
• High-speed cable or fiber optic internet connection that runs to our equipment. (Satellite and DSL do not play well with our technology.)
o Minimum upload speed of 5 mbps
o Your internet connection should not be shared with others in the household without sufficient bandwidth to accommodate demand.
This is a professional position with professional demands. Our technology must work in your home for you to work with us.
