Have you ever wondered why some products succeed and others fail? Or why some patients take their medication and others don’t? How do we know what the nation’s favorite hangover cure is or what makes an effective marketing strategy?

It’s our job to answer questions like these on behalf of our clients, some of the world’s leading blue-chip companies in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, beauty and personal care sectors. With headquarters based in the UK, we also have offices in New York and Switzerland. We are looking for a hard-working and passionate graduate to join our small but expanding US team to begin their career in healthcare market research.

Healthcare Research Worldwide (HRW), a part of the MMR Group, is a full service ad hoc international research agency specializing in all aspects of healthcare research, from pharmaceutical to over the counter products. Our focus is on ‘accessing reality’, making sure that we get beneath the surface and really understand what is going on and what is driving human behavior (we believe that everyone we talk to is a human being – no matter whether a physician, patient, nurse or any other healthcare professional!).

We work closely with our clients to fully understand their needs and then we take a collaborative, holistic approach to the research, utilizing and developing the best and most appropriate research techniques – whether they be qualitative, quantitative, online or observational (or more often than not a combination) to provide our clients with robust and actionable recommendations to take their business forward.
We work on a vast range of projects, so we’re able to offer an excellent grounding in market research. Every project is tailor-made to meet a client’s specific needs; therefore no two days are ever the same. HRW is a fast moving, fun, challenging and very rewarding place to work.
Joining as a Trainee Research Executive, you would work on projects covering a wide variety of products and therapy areas for a range of clients – anything from designing a new asthma inhaler, evaluating communications in the women’s health arena, seeing what life is like for a patient with diabetes to coming up with ground-breaking ideas for new product development. The role is very varied, covering all stages of the project cycle from research design, questionnaire or discussion guide creation, planning fieldwork and associated logistics, through to interpreting final data and preparing client presentations.

We are looking for graduates, ideally with a life or social science degree or related discipline. However, we will consider any major area if individuals have a genuine interest in healthcare.

Strong organizational, team working and communication skills are required. An enquiring mind, and a natural curiosity about people and what makes them tick is important.
