The Recruiting Department Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and updating recruitment management processes and workflows covering all activity within the project recruiting lifecycle—including staffing, monitoring productivity, managing staff, creating efficiencies in recruitment processes, and staying attuned to the company’s ongoing need for target respondents.
o Oversee Company-Wide Recruiting Department & Processes
• Plan, oversee and monitor all aspects of recruiting to ensure respondent quality, efficient usage of staff hours, and consistent and satisfactory show rates.
• Maintains quality recruiting by enforcing department policies and procedures; analyzing and resolving problems; identifying internal trends (project demand trends, obstacle trends, etc.) recommending system improvements.
• Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance quality, efficiency, and output.
• Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic productivity or staffing reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
o Staffing
• Hiring, training and supervising recruiting supervisors and coordinators; oversees hiring of recruiters; developing personal growth opportunities for department.
• Accomplishes staff results by communicating position expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
• Plan and allocate resources, from Eastern Standard time to Pacific Standard time, to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals.
• Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the department.
• Monitor recruiting payroll to ensure monthly project salary goals are met.
o Database Planning & Oversight
o Identifies needed respondent growth areas.
o Develops & initiates plan to secure respondent growth in the needed areas.
o Communicate regularly with other managers, the Managing Director, company owners, and other designated contacts within the organization.
o Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
o Market Research Management experience in a team-oriented workplace
o Ability to hire, motivate, manage, coach, and develop staff
o Ability to foster teamwork within department as well as with other company divisions
o Excellent organizational management and quality management skills
o Must be results-driven and be adept in developing efficient standards and procedures
o Superior written and spoken communication skills
o Excellent attention to detail
o Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and resolve problems in a timely, effective manner
o Outside the box thinker, who is able to “get the big picture”
o Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the company’s management team that provides leadership and direction
