Journeys often are non-linear and may include loops, re-entry, dropouts, etc. A journey map visually illustrates and analyzes the entire customer journey or experience with a brand, product or service. It is data driven, combining quant, qual, behavioral analytics, etc., and involves tracking and mapping the touchpoints, interactions and emotions that a customer goes through from their initial awareness to the final purchase and beyond. The goal is to understand customer motivation, what they wish to achieve and their expectations of the company.
